I am Demeter, proud, loving, and protective Mother Goddess of the Earth. I am the giver of fruitfulness and abundance, and agriculture was a gift I provided to those in need. When my precious daughter Persephone was stolen from me, my anger and grief were fierce; the loss caused me to make the Earth barren for a time until she returned to me. Turn to me when you wish to meditate on these cycles of life and death, and the blessings of possibility and hope they offer.
Demeter's body is a golden, satiny fabric, rich and soft. She wears a necklace of apricot moonstones, and her golden hair is decorated with autumnal leaves, a flower nestled above her forehead, and an impressive array of harvest wheat.
