Designed specifically for Menarche blessingways, Luna incorporates the symbolism of the moon and acts as a bridge between the Maiden's childhood and her new Womanhood. Her body is the creamy white of the full moon, her hair the deep black of the dark moon. Her necklace is of garnets, the traditional stone for gift-giving at Menarche, and she has a crescent moon on her forehead, symbol of waxing fertility. In her hair are 13 silver blossoms, silver being the metal of the moon, the flowers symbolizing the Maiden's blossoming beauty, and 13, of course, being the number of Moontimes in a year.
