I am Titania, Queen of the Fairies. In my early days I was an Earth Mother, ruler of the Titans, Triple Goddess of many people in Western Europe. I live in the sacred mounds of the Earth, and dance in the sacred rings of trees and stones. My realm is the land of the ever-living, a place where there is neither death, nor sin, nor transgression. We have continual feasts: we practice every benevolent work without contention.* Dance with me on the full moon, and seek your happiness.
![]() * The three sentences preceding the * in the above description of Titania come from The Book of the Dun Cow, or "Leabhar na Uidhre", which is the oldest surviving miscellaneous manuscript in Irish literature. So-called because the vellum upon which it is written is supposedly taken from the hide of St. Ciaran's cow at Clonmacnoise. It was compiled by about 1100 learned Irish monks at the monastery of Clonmacnoise from older manuscripts. It contains much factual and legendary material from the 8th and 9th centuries.

Titania wears the purple of royalty, her dress sleek and soft, the orbs around her neck stunning. Her magical hair hosts a fair of butterflies, symbols of rebirth and regeneration. She of course has fairy wings, and also has a tiny fairy companion on her shoulder.
